A War With Bows And Arrows in Kenya

It happened in March 2008. Post-election clashes between tribes re-awakened ancient ethnic rivalries and they used bows and arrows to fight instead of the usual machetes. They said it was a more deadly alternative.
It’s very impressive and unusual. More than 20 people died in the fighting and a man was even shot in the face…
The pictures that impressed me the most are the ones where you see the Maasai warriors with members of the Kalenjin tribe on a hill overlooking the Olmelil Valley.
